December

December -

It is not happening much in December, well that is not right but it don’t happened things that it is worth talking about.

A lot of walks, training at home on my own. My agility group has started to train in a “riding house” and it is a very good place to train agility but we have specific hours and my working hours don’t match so good.

But  I have been and train for Jenny Damm 3 times this autumn and now it is up for me to prove that I have understood. I think Jenny doubt it, at least I didn’t show her when I was there. But it was fun anyway!

There is no competitions coming for Freja and me, not until April I think. So we got a lot of time to practise.

I want to wish all of you a Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year!

Christina and Rosie

Autumn 2009

This year has been great for Freja and me. We are now competing in the second class both in agility class and in jump class. She still loves to run and to please me. She is absolutely a darling. If only I could get it right I am sure we will get to the top.

The competition season is now over. Freja and I are taken some private lessons from Jenny Damm instead. She is so good.  I am doing my best to learn, but it is one thing to understand how to do it and another thing to do so.

Darling-Chanel still don’t like to compete, se have tried but she seems to be to shy. I had plans to breed on her but as I know the breeds problem I decide to do a MRI on here head before. Chanel don’t have Syringomyelia but she has Chiari like malformation.  They that should know say that most cavalier has this form of malformation. Maybe they have maybe they don’t – I don’t want  to be breed a dog that has a to small head.

Chanel is a lovely dog and loves most of all bird watching and mice hunting.

Rosie – the best has this autumn also done a MRI. The sad thing is that she suffers of Syringomyelia.  So her official competitions days are over. Rosie has been a part of the agility team Cavaleriet, and they qualified to the Swedish Championship both 2009 and 2010. But 2010 they start with out Rosie. It is so sad. Rosie loves agility.

Älvis is Älvis and he drives me crazy most of the time.

090523 - Falkenberg - Freja and did it!  We are now in the second grade in both agilityclass and jumpclass.

090502 Halmstad

This was the firts outdoor competition for this year, and it was great.

In Sweden we have 3 levels to compete in. You start at level 1 and you will have to get 3 sticks ( 3 races with no faults and be in 15 % of the best).

This competition Freja got her last stick in jump class and next time we will start in level 2.

to be continue........

Agility season

090410
Now has the agility season started - if I had the time and money i could compete every weekend, but then I would be singel and defenitive don't have the time and money
But the easter week end it was a lot of agility. 10/4 was Frejas day and she came onn a 3rd place and got a point in the agilityclass. She has now 2 points i agilityclass and 2 in jumpclass. One more in each class and we will compete in a higher level. But we are not there yet!

It is from Jenny Damms homepage! She is the best!  and nothing are imposible, just use your imagination and practise.

Happy

This have been a good week. On Monday Freja and I were and took a course for the famous Jenny Damm. She has won the World championship with her dog Lotus and a lot more. http://www.lotuseducation.se/ We had a great hour and I have a lot to learn!

And to day 15 November 2008 - Freja and I have been on a competions in Varberg. We had a great day and came on second place in both races. With no falults. So we got our "sticks" - here in Sweden you need 3 "sticks" in every grade to be alowed to compete in the next grade.  Freja have 2 "sticks" in jump and now one in agility.

Help!!!!

One of the very good things with internet is that you meet new people from around the world. Peolple that you share the same interests with.

So that is why I now try to create a new side on this homepage that is in English.

My new friend Ruth Bates with her lovely cavaliers has been so kind to link to my homepage. And maybe I will have some new visitors. Visit Ruths website http://www.cavaliersandagility.com/

I also hope that my "old" friend Siobhan will find this side. She's got a lovely Labrador called Hippo.

I live in Sweden with my family and 4 dogs. We got 3 Cavaliers and 1 Malinois.
The name of the Cavaliers are Rosie, Freja and Chanel and Älvis is our Malinois.

It is a lot of agility in our life. Jessica (my daughter) and her dog Rosie has been competing for 3 years, and they are very successfull. Here in Sweden we have 3 grades and Jessica and Rosie are competing in the highest in both agilityclass and jumpclass.
More later.
